Nite cycling is shag de lo!
Tuesday, September 16, 200811:10 PM
This is the iternary for the smux nite cycling.

From ECP to kallang > serangoon > Thomson > lower pierce > jalan kayu > AMK > stevens road > beach road > nicoll highway > ECP!

it covers 67km and we took a total of 10hrs to ride from 730pm to 545am in the morning, inclusive of one supper stopover, and a few breaks in between. I rode past my fren's house and also we went pass a cemetery before stevens road there. Ther aren't alot of cars most of the time except the part when we're near the highway.

It wasnt that fun partly coz of the lame games and the lousy organising committee. They were pretty rude and keep shouting:"who say u can go!" each time we're ready to set off. My group was purely year 3s, only a year 1 guy. Well year 3 are like old birds but we came in second for the nite ride. Think other teams all detour to some other place and didnt come back before 6 or 7am. My team, we're all gan chiong to go back after such a shag journey.

My legs almost broke and the muscle really seems like its tearing. Well its just for the experience. On to the next activity!

My fencing clinic concluded on Fri, and i was enjoying it when i see the two fence quite fiercely. I really dont mind joining the sport but the only thing that puts me off is the cost of the whole suit, $500+. I doubt this includes the blade.

But fencing ppl are generally quite nice and frenly, xuehui is the funniest though. Hit the gym with mich and we left after meeting our bfs.

Sat was spent at perry's place for badminton and down to his fav garage. He is looking at a consignment evo9, very nicely done up, and he asked us for opinions. Its quite a reasonable buy as the owner was prepared to lower his price just after one negotiation. After which we headed home after dinner and i continue to work on my assignments due for the week. zz

mummy is right
Monday, September 08, 20083:50 AM
Since young, mummy has always said that i'm too "hong xim". Meaning, play until can forget everything.

Let me explain why.

Fri at 340 pm. I went into the dojo room for fencing clinic inside of the cca room. I left my laptop in the dojo room, took only my arnold palmer bag, and headed out to look for the heyhey gang at koufu foodcourt. Little would i know, this was the last time i was to see my laptop!

We fenced from 4-6. Me n dave headed to gym to jog + cycle for 30 mins while the rest were washing up. Then we had dinner at M11, and back to school's settler's cafe from 9-11pm.

At the time, i was about to reach out for my laptop to check school mail before leaving for vivo, i realised i didnt have my laptop wit me the whole day. Figured out the last i saw of my whitey laptop sleeve was at 340pm.

PAnicked and ran ard schools checking with the security guards and even went to the fire command centre to lodge a report. :(

All hope was lost, as i thot how ppl who keep laptops if they were to find it. Only then i thot of trying my luck by checking my email, to see if any kind souls emailed me abt finding my laptop.

I was damn happy to see the title "your laptop" in one of the email subjects. Bless the kinds souls(taekwando team) for keeping, recovering and returning my laptop! They really saved my life. Even if i were to lose the laptop, i think i really deserved it. I played the whole day and didnt even recalled i always had a whitey laptop sleeve with me. :( really very hong xim.

this is definitely an expensive lesson. becoz of my carelessness, i was put on 3 days probabtion - not allowed to do my work (use my laptop) until i meetup with the kind soul at tampines. Wooo. Thanks to edwin for helping me to get my laptop n bring it to school!

i promise to cherish, hold, and love you unconditionally - my dearest laptop.. and i will never let u out of my sight for more than 30 mins again.

nike human race - 10km - personal challenge
Monday, September 01, 200812:55 AM
NIKE RUN 31st Aug! Here are the pics i took today!

check out my number. and nooo.. 我不是38 -.-

i like this pic! spotted me?

the concert venue thats scheduled after the race.

i kinda like this photo. like damn nice to see so many ppl in red sitting by the monument.

after warm up!

they didnt realised i was in the picture.

weikiat wasn't looking at the camera. he was looking at cute girls in that direction. lol.

walking towards the starting line.

my views abt joining this race?.. i neva thot of how fast i would complete this run. The fact that i detest running and jogging is enough to put me off, nonetheless my concern on the timing.. What i really think is, its my first 10km run. If i can at least finish it, it would be a great personal accomplishment. :)

Near the starting line.

took a sneak shot of my frens.

here's the front view! keynes, thomas, wei kiat, cecilia, me.

our right legs and the championchip!(black chip tied on our shoes)
no prizes for guessing which leg is mine!

the number of pple in front of me is so staggering!

so is the number of pple behind me. omg..
then we had the flag off at 445. and i started taking pics again after the 6km mark.

they have the signs at every KM mark.

3/4 into the race. at abt 8km mark.

i didnt drink alot. so wasnt that urgent to go toilet. think i had like 7 cups in total.

nice colorful bridge.

i finally completed the race. timing was damn slow, but hey, i managed to finish it alone! i ran alone today, coz i didnt wan to affect anybody's speed and all. Thanks to cecilia who ran with me initially. it was really nice of her :)

the red banner was the finishing line. I was resting and facing the contestants running in after i've crossed the line.

It was a pretty gd experience. Will i do it again next year? mayb i will. But first i need a psychologist to change my super anti-jogging mind into a more receptive-to-running-mode.

21st Aug - Two weeks ago, me n val went to clar's place to make no-bake cheesecake. For me n val, its something like a beginner's clinic. We made two cakes, one lemon cheese, and the other baileys'.

The nalgene bottle contains the nice smelling baileys.

This is how it looks like before going into the fridge.

this is the lemon one. see the lemon grind and juice in the bowl?

I brought it to school on Fri during Vivace(Our CCA day) for the my fyp groupmates and heyhey gang to eat. It was a mess coz it melted very quickly. But the taste was pretty alright according to them. So i started calling them mudpie instead of the cheesecake. haha. Well the reason it melted was becoz we didnt add gelantine. which is made of beef skin. I cant take beef!. hmph.

28th Aug - the following thurs was sending my darlin off to hk for exchg. lynn, darling, me. Its gd to know that she's having so much fun there.

24th Aug - this was the queue when we collected the nike pack last sunday.
We cut queue (shamelessly) yet still waited for 5 hours to be arms length away from the booth. The best part? It was pouring so heavily, we were caught in the rain 3 times. :(
